About

A named human at the front door.

On Autopilot is the publishing arm of Boring Ventures Pty Ltd's consulting work with Australian small businesses. We build and deploy AI systems for people who'd rather have the thing working than read another think-piece about it. This site is where we publish what we learn.

We're a real Australian business in Melbourne. There are no editorial desks here, no AI-generated authors, no fake credentials. Every piece is bylined by a named human with real first-party Australian small business AI work behind it.

The entity

On Autopilot is published by Boring Ventures Pty Ltd (ABN 67 671 943 758), an Australian proprietary company based in Melbourne. We hold no investor capital, no agency parent, and no affiliations with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or any other model provider. We pay for our own tools.

When we mention specific products (Claude Code, Cursor, Xero, Shopify, etc), it's because we use them inside our own operations or our clients'. Where a link is an affiliate link, we disclose that on the page.

How we make money

Three ways. First, AI consulting and implementation for Australian small businesses, that's the audit funnel you'll see at the bottom of most pages. Second, the occasional affiliate commission from tools we already recommend. Third, sponsored placement in the newsletter once we have enough subscribers to make that fair to both readers and sponsors. Editorial decisions are never sold.

Our editorial standards

We document them in writing at our methodology page. The short version: real first-party experience, sourced statistics, Australian English, named human reviewer, AI-assisted writing disclosed, no fabricated testimonials, no fake credentials, no doorway pages, no AggregateRating schema spam.
