What's NOT in the price
Most productised agents cost $3–$15 AUD/month in Claude API spend, which we absorb inside the monthly retainer. Bespoke agents running heavy retrieval can hit $50–$100/mo; we pass these through at-cost with no markup.
Productised agents run on our managed Hetzner stack — included. If you want to self-host, we hand over the code + Docker setup and you point it at your AWS / Azure / VPS.
Shopify / Xero / Cliniko / ServiceM8 / PropertyMe / Slack — those are your bills. We don't resell them and we don't add markup. We do tell you when one of them is overkill for what you're using it for.
The 30-minute audit call is free. Always has been. We've never charged for a sales call and we never will. If the audit doesn't surface three real builds worth quoting, we'll say so on the call and you walk away with the blueprint anyway.
Pricing FAQ
Hourly billing rewards us for moving slowly. Fixed price rewards us for shipping. Every productised package has a defined scope, a defined timeline, and a defined outcome. If we under-estimate, that is our problem, not yours. If we over-deliver, you keep the upside.
All listed prices are AUD and exclude GST. We invoice through Boring Ventures Pty Ltd (ABN 67 671 943 758) which is GST-registered, so 10% GST is added at invoicing. If your business is GST-registered (most businesses doing $75k+ revenue), you claim it back on your BAS.
50% deposit on productised builds at kick-off. 50% on go-live (when the agent is running in your stack). For monthly retainers, first month is invoiced at the start; subsequent months on the same day each month. Pay by EFT or card (Stripe).
We absorb it. The quoted price is the quoted price. The only thing that bumps a quote mid-build is a scope addition you actively request (e.g. "actually can the agent also check our Amazon stock?"). For that, we quote the delta on the spot, you decide.
Yes. Most operators start with one productised service to prove value, then layer on a second within 30 days. Bundled clients typically save 10–20% on combined setup vs. buying each separately. We'll quote the bundled price on the audit call.
We don't post a refund policy on the page because we don't need to attract the buyer who's already evaluating us on refund probability. What we do is: a free 30-minute audit before you commit anything, day-by-day visibility during the build week, and a stabilisation period after go-live. If the agent isn't shipping the outcome by week 2, we keep working until it does, at our cost. Eight years across multiple businesses, no client has ever asked for a refund.
The agent keeps running. You own the code, the prompts, the configs, the API keys. We hand over a working repo on day one of any productised build, not month six. If you cancel the retainer, we transition hosting + Claude API keys to your team and the agent runs on your infrastructure. No hostage situations.
They exist and they are cheap. We have written an honest comparison at /vs/upwork-ai-freelancer/ that names where each is the right call. Short version: if the cost of the build failing is under $500, hire on Upwork. If the cost of failure is anywhere north of that — lost customers, AHPRA action, broken inventory forecast — you want an Australian operator who has shipped your shape of build, with a phone you can pick up.
