Plain-English summary

  • The content on this site is for general information. It's not financial, tax, legal or medical advice.
  • If you act on something we publish, you bear the risk. Verify against authoritative sources before any consequential decision.
  • Don't republish our articles wholesale without permission, but you can quote and link freely. Content marked with its own licence (such as the AI Cost Index, CC BY 4.0) can be reused under that licence.
  • We try hard to be accurate. We're not infallible. We correct errors when they're flagged.
  • Paid work is governed by the agreement on your quote or proposal. The services summary below explains how it usually works.

Our services (summary)

This is a plain summary of how our paid AI services work. It is not the contract. Each engagement is governed by the agreement on your quote or proposal, and if the two differ, the quote or proposal applies.

  • The free AI audit is free. It is a 30-minute call with no obligation to buy anything.
  • Prices are fixed and quoted before work starts. All prices are in Australian dollars and exclude GST. GST is added to the invoice. Every price is on the pricing page: builds from $497, managed AI from $1,500 a month. We do not bill by the hour, and a change in scope is quoted before we do it.
  • Setup fees pay for work done. A setup fee or fixed price covers the work of scoping, building and handing over a system. It is charged for that work, not as a deposit against monthly fees.
  • Monthly fees are month to month, with no lock-in contract. You can stop a monthly service at any time by telling us in writing (email is fine). Your quote or proposal sets out when the final monthly fee falls due.
  • What happens to your systems if you stop. You own the code, prompts and settings from day one. While we run an agent it uses our hosting and our Claude API account, and that usage is included in the monthly fee. If you stop, we move it to hosting and an Anthropic account in your name so it keeps running.
  • Your decisions stay yours. You remain responsible for the decisions your business makes with the systems we build. We do not give legal, financial, tax or clinical advice, and we are not a registered BAS or tax agent.
  • Your Australian Consumer Law rights. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, including that they will be provided with due care and skill. Nothing in these terms or in a quote limits those guarantees.
  • Liability cap. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for a paid service is limited to the fees you paid us for that service in the 12 months before the claim. Where the Australian Consumer Law lets us limit a remedy for a service, our liability is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

2. General information only

Content on On Autopilot is general information for Australian small business operators. It is not financial product advice (Corporations Act 2001), legal advice, tax advice, or medical advice. We are not your advisor unless we have a signed engagement agreement.

3. Accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to ensure information is accurate at the time of publication. AI, vendor pricing, and regulatory information change frequently, so we do not guarantee continued accuracy. Verify against the original source before acting on anything we publish. To report an error, email editorial@onautopilot.com.au.

4. Copyright

All content on On Autopilot is © Boring Ventures Pty Ltd unless otherwise noted. You may quote and link to our articles for non-commercial purposes with attribution. Content published with its own licence is the exception: you may reuse it on that licence's terms. For example, the AI Cost Index is released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence (CC BY 4.0), which allows commercial reuse with attribution. 5. Liability for using this website

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Boring Ventures Pty Ltd is not liable for any loss, damage or expense arising from your use of On Autopilot or your reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

6. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version always lives at this URL. Changes to these terms do not change an agreement you have already signed with us.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Disputes go to the courts of Victoria.
