How we research and publish
On Autopilot publishes opinionated, practical content. Opinionated doesn't mean unfounded, every recommendation here is based on something we've shipped, broken, or watched a client live with. This page describes the standards we hold ourselves to.
Our sources
For Claude Code and Claude API content, our primary sources are Anthropic's official documentation, the Claude API changelog, and our own daily usage across DotVA and the Lead Gen Empire network. We try cited features ourselves before we tell you to.
For tool reviews (Cursor, Windsurf, Replit, Lovable, etc), we pay for the tools out of our own pocket and use them on real client work. No tool gets a review unless we've shipped something with it.
For pricing in AUD, we convert at the rate Anthropic / the vendor charges Australian cards at the time of writing, and we note the conversion date on the page. Vendor pricing changes, we update.
For Australian business context (Xero, Shopify AU, MYOB, GST, super), our reference points are the ATO website, the relevant vendor's AU documentation, and the lived experience of the businesses we operate.
AI disclosure
We use AI tools, Claude, primarily, extensively in our drafting and editing process. Every article on this site is reviewed, edited, and approved by a named human author before publication. The byline is the human's. The opinions are the human's. We don't publish AI-generated articles dressed up with AI-generated bylines, and we never will. That's what the editorial-desk pivot at Lead Gen Empire taught us, fake personas are a legal and trust problem, full stop.
Fact-checking + corrections
Before publication, every factual claim that names a price, a product feature, a regulatory body, or a verifiable number is cross-checked against the source linked in the article. If you find an error, email editorial@onautopilot.com.au and we'll correct it within one business day. Substantive corrections are noted at the top of the article with a date.
We do not stealth-edit. If we change a recommendation that previously read differently, you'll see a "Last updated" date and, where the change is material, a brief corrections note.
Conflicts of interest
Boring Ventures Pty Ltd sells AI consulting and implementation services. Many articles here end with a CTA to book a free audit with us. That's the conflict to be upfront about: we want you to hire us. We do not, however, recommend products purely because they pay us. Most products we mention have no commercial relationship with us at all.
Where we earn an affiliate commission, we mark the link (affiliate) and include a disclosure block at the top of the page.
No fake reviews, no fake ratings
We do not collect first-party reviews on this site. We do not emit AggregateRating structured data on any page. Tool reviews carry a single named reviewer's rating (the Review schema permits this), but we never aggregate ratings we haven't independently verified.
Privacy
We use Google Analytics 4 with Consent Mode v2, configured so that no analytics cookies fire until a visitor consents. We do not run Microsoft Clarity, Meta Pixel, or any other behavioural-tracking pixels by default. If we add them later, they will be gated behind explicit consent and disclosed in the privacy policy.
