Honest comparison
On Autopilot vs an AI cohort course.
$2,000 for a 6-week Zoom-and-Slack cohort. You finish with a Google Doc full of prompts, a community channel you'll lurk in for 3 months, and zero working systems in your business. We ship the agents instead. Here's when each is the right call.
When the cohort is the right call
You're early-career, you have time, and your goal is to become the AI-leveraged staffer at your current employer. Or you're a builder who wants to start an AI agency and needs the network and the curriculum. Cohorts are great for skill-building and peer connection. They are not a substitute for working systems in your own business.
When we're the right call
You own or run the Australian SMB. You don't have 6 weeks to spend learning — you have inventory leaking, a CS queue growing, a phone ringing while you're on the tools. You need the systems running by month-end, not a Slack community to ask questions in. We build the agents. You keep running the business.
Side-by-side
The honest comparison.
| an AI cohort course | On Autopilot | |
|---|---|---|
| Outcome | You learn AI. Working systems = your problem afterwards. | We build the AI. Working systems = our deliverable. |
| Time cost | 6 weeks × 6 hrs/wk = 36+ hours of your time | One 30-min audit, then we ship while you run the business |
| Price | $1,500–$5,000 USD typical | $497 AUD entry, $1,500–$3,000 productised, $2k+/mo retainer |
| Australian context | Usually US-based, examples = US tools and US compliance | Shipped against Xero, Shopify, Cliniko, ServiceM8, PropertyMe |
| What you walk away with | Prompts in a Google Doc + a Slack channel | Production agents running on your stack + code handover |
| Ongoing support | Alumni channel — fades after 3 months | Monthly retainer for maintenance + new agents |
| Best for | Career-builders, agency founders, the AI-curious | Operators with revenue who need systems shipped not theory |
The honest verdict
Cohorts are excellent for the human who wants to add AI to their resume. Builds are excellent for the business that needs AI to add to revenue. If you own an Australian SMB doing $500k+/yr, the cohort is the wrong shape — your time is more valuable in your business than in a 6pm AEST Zoom. Skip the cohort. Book the audit.
Real questions buyers ask
Before-you-decide questions.
Will I learn how the AI works if I hire you, or just get a black box?
Not a black box. Every build comes with documentation that explains what the agent does, why, and how to extend it. We hand over the code + prompts + configs. If you (or your team) want to learn, the codebase is your textbook. If you don't, the system still runs.
I already did an AI cohort. Should I work with you now?
Often a great combo. Cohort graduates know what's possible but don't have time to build production systems on top of their day jobs. We slot in to ship what they've designed in their head. Many of our clients are AI-cohort-graduates who hired us to actually deploy what they learned.
Do you offer training as well as builds?
Yes — Claude Code Setup ($1,500 fixed) is one of our six productised packages. It's a one-day onsite where we install Claude Code across your team, set up the shared prompt library, and leave you with a system your team can extend. Less than half the price of most cohorts, with the working setup attached.
Still weighing it up? Take the 30-minute audit, decide after.
Jenn maps your business live on the call, names the three highest-ROI agents we'd build for you, quotes them fixed AUD on the spot. If an AI cohort course is genuinely the better fit, she'll say so. No deck. No pitch theatre. No obligation.
